The Smart Lives Team
The Smart lives project is a Queensland University of Technology (QUT) initiative in partnership with the State Library of Queensland (SLQ).
A note of thanks and appreciation
The Smart Lives team wishes to express their thanks to the staff at Townsville, Sunshine Coast and Cairns libraries for their support of the Smart lives project. In particular we sincerely appreciate their assistance during visits to their communities earlier this year.
Our thanks also go to Mr Bevan McAleer and the crew at the Queensland Telecommunications Museum for their generous assistance. Also their use of photographs in the ‘did you know’ section of this blog is greatly appreciated. Thanks also to the internet association of Australia for their interest in the blog and wealth of information about how and when public internet access came to Brisbane. Thanks also to the staff at the heritage section of the SLQ for their help and efforts. Thank you also to the State Govenment’s Q150 Community Funding Program for supporting this project and others like it. Projects such as these provide the opportunity for Queenslanders to celebrate their past and imagine their future.
Lastly, a very special thank you to the participants who gave their time to be interviewed and made this Blog possible.
If you have any questions about the Smart Lives project please contact Associate Professor Helen Partridge at 07 3138 9047.
